A Soundless Echo is an epic space rock melodrama and a loose prequel to Light Speed Collision by Def FX. The lyrics deal with a ruthless invasion of an old civilisation and the few who escape in the hope of off-world resettlement.

The song started off its life known as "Mechatec" due to the cyber-war sound effects used in the original intro. Only a small number of them remained and ended up in the evil cyborg startup sequence. The anguish in the main female vocal inspired the lyrics and the helplessness of the invaded civilisation. It is the first track I have added vocals to, and i ended up doing 2 lots: one in a normal voice, and the other as a cyborg(!)

The song was first released in 2019, but needed a production overhaul. Armed with some updated tools and skills I reengineered and remastered it to give it the sheen it deserved. It even gets a new cover which is less overt and adds a touch more evil
